the slab

McMoab Slab at Kirroughtree in Dumphries. Dan giving it Hell on a 15 year old hardtail, why he kept his coat and knapsack on I don't know. #nodabs.

8 minutes down the greta

This is a short film documenting a rather amateurish attempt at the Greta in an open boat. It's filmed from a camera mounted on Dan Wilson's chest, which is disturbing enough in itself but the film is also chronologically intact and shows how different the river and its features were pre-Storm Desmond, and since I've edited out his F words you can consider this a geographically educational documentary if you like. I am not suggesting this should be used in schools.

La Barbarate

This is a short film documenting our descent of L'Etendard via La Barbarate in Alpe D'Huez.

12 Months - Portrait of an Extreme Sports Enthusiast

It’s difficult leading a double life. On the one hand you are the caring, benevolent school teacher and father of five. On the other you are the extreme sports hero that women want and men want to be. It’s difficult, but somehow I manage it. This film documents the last 12 months in that life: 12 months in 12 minutes. Live the dream.

Mountain Biking - Morzine Summer 2010

This is a video postcard documenting our first trip to Morzine in the summer months. The trip was peppered with issues and Don's car problems (the catalytic converter packed up on the way out) ended up costing over a thousand pounds to sort out. That said, the apartment was awesome as was the riding.

The Road to the Mega Avalanche - Alpe D'Huez Summer 2007

This film won one of the amateur categories (I forget which) at the Kendal Mountain Film Festival in 2008. It documents the first time we entered The Mega Avalanche - a huge mountain bike race in the French Alps. Probably the only film I've made that has an actual story.
